From around the City of Chicago, hundreds of Israeli-American as well as Palestinian-American protesters took to the streets screaming at each other in front of the Israeli Consulate near Union Station located at 500 W. Madison and Canal St. in downtown Chicago.

Protesters aired their grievances about the current conflict in the Middle East over the Gaza region resulting from Operation "Protective Edge", which has entered its 13th day with ground operations happening over the last 3 days.

Below is the Breaking Voices gallery of the Israel and Palestine protest. Note: Some of the photos and video may be offensive to viewer.

Israeli-American protesters stood on the northeast corner of Madison and Canal while Palestinian-American protesters stood on the south east corner. Both sides became irate while yelling offensive stereotypes that made it seem as if the other was the enemy even though they are all Chicagoans. In reality both sides were defending their heritage while displaying their American rights to freedom of speech.

Chicago Police officers on horses watched during the protest with backup officers on bikes as well as in nearby police cars. After half hour, police officers turned on their sirens to drown out the protesters organizing. Chicago police first dispersed the protesters by asking the Israeli protesters to leave the bridge sidewalk after originating infront of the Isreali Consulate office. The Palestinian-American protesters were escorted away, but continued their protests east towards Michigan Ave. in downtown Chicago.
