It was a sweet homecoming party in Union Park for AAHH! Fest 2014 with Kanye West closing the festival in a surprise guest performance.
West took stage after Common performed three songs from his new album “Nobody's Smilng.” Fans went wild when Kanye West jumped on stage to perform.

Thousands of hip hop music fans packed the sold-out event for a historic show that included Chicago’s best known hip hop artists. Jennifer Hudson, Lupe Fiasco, De la Soul, MC Lyte, Twista, and Jay Electronica were among the performers.
Festival organizer Che Smith, aka Rhymefest, and the director of Donda’s House with co-founder Kanye West, told Breaking Voices that the AAHH! Fest is a celebration for Chicagoans to come together.

Looking at the crowds of diverse Chicagoans from all backgrounds and heritages, Common called the festival a movement, “a breath of fresh air for Chicago."
AAHH! Fest is first of an annual African American Hip Hop Festival organized by rapper Common in collaboration with Donda’s House and The Common Ground Foundation. Donda's House, named after Kanye West's mother, is a arts and music performance program for teens in Chicago. The Common Ground Foundation, led by Common, provides educational programs and retreats for teens in Chicago.
Hip hop fans at the festival came out in thousands to support the inaugural AAHH! Fest.

AAHH! Fest was held in two parts Sunday at Union Park. The first part of the fest, held from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., was geared toward high school students and featured a Community Stage of young performers curated by rapper Rhymefest.
The second part of AAHH! Fest was held 3 p.m.–10 p.m. for crowd 18 and older.
